The Conveyancing Foundation in partnership with Today’s Media are proud to offer the Mental Health Champion (MHC) Course delivered by expert Mental Health trainer, Sharron Moffatt.

In the fast-paced world of conveyancing, stress, anxiety, and burnout are all too common. Tight deadlines, complex cases, and high client expectations can take a toll, yet many of us are unprepared to spot the signs or offer the right support.

This 4-hour engaging and interactive course (split into two 2-hour sessions) goes beyond basic awareness. You’ll learn how to recognise the signs of common mental health issues such as stress, anxiety, and depression. You’ll gain essential skills to initiate supportive conversations and offer vital support when it matters most. we’ll also cover suicide prevention and early intervention, equipping you with the tools to respond quickly and confidently.

As a conveyancer, you face high-stakes situations daily. Now, it’s time to prioritise mental health – for yourself and your team.

  • 2 x two-hour interactive group sessions delivered online via Zoom.
  • Suitable for those working within the property industry who would like to learn more about mental health & wellbeing and how to support their friends, colleagues or team members.
  • Led by expert Mental Health Trainer, Sharron Moffatt.
  • Participants receive; a manual to refer to whenever needed & a workbook including a helpful toolkit to support their own mental health.

You will learn:

  • Understand what Mental Health is and how it affects individuals in the workplace
  • Understand stigma in the workplace and why language matters
  • Understand the Mental Health Continuum and how Mental health is fluid and fluctuates over time.
  • Understand stress and how to manage stress levels.
  • Understand and identify the signs and symptoms of common Mental Health issues, including stress, anxiety, depression and panic disorder
  • Confidently manage difficult conversations around mental health with empathy and understanding
  • Understand how to offer immediate support to colleagues facing mental health challenges and direct them to appropriate support.
  • Understand the importance of early intervention and how to respond to risk of suicide
  • Identify strategies for looking after your own mental health and managing stress effectively
  • Access available resources and support services to maintain mental wellbeing at work

Extensive notes will be provided and time will be set aside for delegate questions

All sessions are recorded and available on demand if you are unable to join live. Please book your place and the recording will be circulated 48 hours after the live session to review on-demand.

Who Should Attend: Any individual working within the property industry such as within a law firm, legal supplier, estate agency, mortgage brokerage etc in the UK can apply for funding to support staff participation in the MHC training course.

Sharron Moffatt (MHFA) is a mental health trainer, guest speaker, and cancer awareness ambassador with over 30 years in the Health and Fitness industry. Drawing on her lived experience with depression and anxiety, she empowers workplaces to prioritise mental well-being and foster compassionate, supportive cultures.
